Summer in the Sierras

The southern Sierra Mountains are in full swing during the summer months. Roads are all passable in the higher elevations, right over the Great Divide. The fishing is plentiful, with Golden Trout being the most sought after species. Hiking is truly fantastic in the clear air and vacationers enjoy camping among the nearby Giant Sequoia Trees.

Horseback riding is enjoyed be all ages, our gust rooms at Camp Nelson Lodge are all open and welcoming guests from the hot valley below. Visitors from near and far are refreshed to be our guests in this cool elevation. Many travelers extend there stay to fully grasp the peacefulness of this place.

All rooms have small refrigerators. There are no TVs in the rooms, no pets, no smoking and no alcohol. The rooms are of good size and have a lovely view of the mountains. There are fireplaces and electrically simulated wood stoves in some rooms.
