Fall in the Sierras
The change is so dramatic that you can hear it. After the summer excitement comes the quiet of fall in the Sierras. A definite change is in the air. The days grow shorter and cooler each week. As you relax the quiet occasionally gives way to individual sounds, an ax chopping firewood in the distance, a voice talking nearby, or a breeze in the trees.
